How to scrap computer monitors: old CRT and newer flat screens.

In response to viewer requests, I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel showing how I scrap old computer monitors.

The goal of this video is to demonstrate both scrapping techniques and the contents of the monitors. Three types of monitors were scrapped: older Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), older flat screen and newer flat screen. The contents of each is compared to help you understand the value that can be derived from each.

Safety is paramount so please wear eye protection and gloves while scrapping.

Please research proper disposal requirements of CRTs and monitor screens as they apply to your location. CRTs and flat screens can contain dangerous elements such as lead and mercury and must be disposed of properly. I recommend you visit your city or county solid waste disposal or similar department website for proper handling instructions.
